Why Clean With A Microfiber Cloth?

Today I wanted to quickly talk about why cleaning with a microfiber cloth is the best switch you could make:
  • Eliminates the need for harsh chemicals, which is better for our bodies and the environment, because you can clean with just a cloth and water.
  • Because of the unique design of microfiber cloths, they trap the dirt and grime and pick up 99% of bacteria from the surfaces they are wiping.
  • They save money because you can use the same cloth over and over, and there is no need to purchase chemicals for cleaning.
  • More efficient, so you're not spending all of your time cleaning up.
  • Non-abrasive, so you don't have to worry about scratching your surfaces.
Check out the design of H2O at Home's microfiber cloths vs cotton cloths:

So, why don't we see more microfiber cloths in our stores?

"The household chemicals market is worth tens of billions of dollars to big chemical companies and the stores that sell them; they have little or no incentive to get behind a simple technology that undermines their costly products. Companies like this have spent a fortune on advertising for several decades, happily convincing most of us that we need to blast our homes with industrial-strength cleaners in a never-ending war on germs. Is it any wonder, then, that we're skeptical of "magic" microfiber cloths that promise to get our homes hygienically clean with nothing but water?" WHY I MADE THE SWITCH

I have never been too concerned about the health effects that cleaning products have until I started having children. I mean, I believed that bleach killed everything, so I would just deep clean with that, and I would wipe my kitchen and bathrooms (and whatever else needed it) with a Clorox or Lysol wipe - trusting that it was doing its job. I have since learned that I never actually read the instructions on the back of these and what must be done to actually kill the bacteria. But that is for another time... Since having children, I am definitely more concerned about:
  1. The quickest way to actually clean,
  2. If it's actually killing the germs in my house, and
  3. The cost of all of these materials. Because, let's be honest, with a toddler we clean multiple times a day in the kitchen.
Fast-forward to my son being 18 months old and me being pregnant.

My husband bought one of the starter kits at a pop-up shop around the holidays. I was super skeptical and said that we were going to finish using the (harsh) products that we already had because I wasn't just throwing them away (I spent good money on them!), and I honestly didn't think you could clean with just water or all natural ingredients. Hey, I was a bleach lady for life.

Fast-forward another three months, when we finally ran out of laundry detergent (I must have bought a new bottle in between to avoid using H2O at Home's...oops!), and my nesting had completely taken over and I needed to clean (but really couldn't deep clean anything because I was pregnant and bleach and pregnant ladies just don't mix), I found myself on Pinterest searching for the best natural way to clean my toaster oven. It seriously looked like WWIII had taken place in there, and it always smelled like something was burning when we used it. Then I remembered the Cleaning Clay and thought, "Well, I'll just give that a try. What's the worst, it doesn't work?". Oh baby! It worked a miracle! I am so mad that I did not take a before photo. Our toaster oven looks brand spanking new

Then I remembered our advisor telling us the clay could clean our shower doors (which were covered in hard water stains the day we bought the house and had already attempted to clean with the manufacturer's cleaning solution (which they told us if it didn't get the stains off nothing would)), so I decided to tackle that. Absolutely incredible!
  • First of all, I was trapped in my shower and my toddler shut the bathroom door, so really, trapped in my bathroom - which is terrifying when you think of cleaning your bathroom and have no window (because, let's be honest, we all use bleach in there). I did not smell anything (you know the brutal bleach smell I was looking for), and, therefore, was not at all concerned about any chemicals affecting my toddler, baby, or myself. He even touched the cleaning clay as I was scrubbing and I just wiped it off his hand! I didn't feel like I had to guard him from coming anywhere near me, or rush to prevent the worst from happening when he did touch it. Now, I did not encourage him to play in it, or even let him, but in his game of opening and shutting the shower door, he got some on his hand.
  • Second, I couldn't believe my eyes, and my husband couldn't either when he got home. You could actually see through our shower!

To say I was hooked was an understatement. I immediately went downstairs and threw all of our harsh cleaning chemicals away - without any hesitations.

I also started using their laundry detergent and laundry ball. You literally use 10mL of detergent and throw the ball in. No need for a dryer sheet in the dryer either! Our clothes come out fresh, softer, clean, and best of all, not shocking me for the eternity that I am folding them!

I am hooked on these products! I love that my family is safe, I can quickly and effectively clean, and that these products really are saving us money. I'll admit, I had a hard time swallowing how much we spent on the initial kit we bought, but what we got/are getting out of it is absolutely incredible and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I want absolutely everything that this company sells!

So, ask me any questions you have. I would be more than happy to let you borrow any of my items to give them a test run also. Even better, let me throw you a party and I will clean your kitchen for you!

WELCOME!

I have decided to start a new blog, along with a new business venture. This blog will mainly be about this new venture and have tabs solely dedicated to it so that you can easily access different aspects of it.

I am so excited to share this with everyone- because I truly do believe in it! I know that Facebook is flooded with people trying to sell you things [and it's super frustrating!]. I hope to minimize my traffic on there, and really go into detail on here. I will have a business page, but will share snippets there [and hopefully not flood your newsfeed if you are my friend] and then go into detail on here. I will also, maybe, share some fun things going on in our lives, baby stuff, random things I'm feeling passionately about, etc. - because life is busy enough with one toddler and working part time [hence why my last blog hasn't been written on in...let's not go there]; and it's only going to get busier when we welcome our second little one this June.

I would love for you to stay awhile and check out my new blog, but I also know that this is not for everyone...

I do hope that you will at least check out why I am passionate about my new business venture and consider looking into the products that I will be selling. I wouldn't have gotten into this if I didn't use the products myself and truly believe in them.
